Executive Board

President: Paul Haarmann, Alpha Phi Class, Truman State ’21    

The Chapter President serves as an internal guiding force of the Fraternity and as the main liaison to the General Fraternity, the University, and the surrounding community. Paul is a senior, Exercise Science- Pre Physical Education major from St. Louis, MO. Outside of Beta, Paul is the Building Supervisor at Student Recreation Center, on the Truman Men’s Roller Hockey Club Team, and is a PK-8 P.E. Teacher at Mary Immaculate Elementary School in Kirksville. After Truman, Paul plans to teach high school PE and health, along with coaching a high school sport

 

Vice President: Lucas May, Alpha Omega ClassTruman State ’23

The vice president is responsible for the internal operations and programming of the chapter, including the functioning of the various chapter officers within the Ways and Means committee. Lucas is a sophomore from Jacksonville, IL. studying Business Management and Military Science. Outside of Beta, he is in Army ROTC, Ranger Challenge, the Bulldog Student Investment Fund, and is a Student Ambassador. Following graduation, Lucas will be serving as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Treasurer: Conrad Tibesear, Beta Alpha Class, Truman State ’23

The role of the treasurer is to ensure that the chapter is in good financial standing. To ensure this, the treasurer is responsible for issuing bills at the end of each billing period, collecting payments, paying all bills promptly and in full while at the same time serving as a member of the Executive Committee. The treasurer must also accurately file the chapter’s tax return, provide audits, and monitor each officer/committee’s use of his budget. Conrad is a sophomore Computer Science major from St. Paul, MN. Outside of Beta, Conrad is a member of BSIF and is on the 2021 Greek Week Committee. He is still undecided on what the future might hold for him!

Risk Manager: Hayden Wells, Beta Alpha Class, Truman State ’23

The current risk manager for the Zeta Xi chapter of Beta Theta Pi is Hayden Wells. The risk manager’s duties include ensuring that the chapter adheres to regulations and policies set forth by the university, Beta nationals, and the Zeta Xi chapter that ensure the safety of every brother and good standing in the community. 

Recruitment Chair: Cole Hedrick, Beta Alpha Class, Truman State ’23

The Recruitment chairman serves as the link to the chapter’s future; finding and selecting those individuals that share the same values of our fraternity. They also coordinate Rush and the events leading up to it with the purpose of connecting the prospective rushees to the chapter. Cole is a sophomore Exercise Science major from Columbia, MO. His favorite aspect of Beta is brotherhood and having so many great men who support him. After Truman, Cole plans on attending physical therapy school to become a physical therapist.

External Relations: Chuck Perry, Alpha Omega Class, Truman State ’23

The External Relations chair is responsible for maintaining contact with the Alumni Association and other organizations on campus, along with keeping the chapter’s social media up to date. This role also includes hosting semi-annual events in Kirksville for alumni. Chuck is a sophomore English major from St. Louis. Outside of Beta, Chuck is a Student Ambassador, VP of Public Relations for IFC, and works on Greek Life Staff. After college, Chuck hopes to attend graduate school at Truman for his MAE to be a high school English teacher. Contact him cap5886@truman.edu

Pledge Educator: Chance Orf, Alpha Omega Class, Truman State ’23

The pledge educator is tasked with the job of instructing pledges in the history and values of the fraternity, as well as serving as a line of communication between the pledge class and the active body. Chance is a sophomore Exercise Science major from Wentzville, MO. He works closely with the Health & Exercise Science Department at Truman and plans on going into medical sales after graduation.

Philanthropy: Wil Walker, Beta Alpha Class, Truman State ’22

The purpose of the philanthropy chair is to coordinate all philanthropic events throughout the year, as well as the annual philanthropy concert.

Advisor@TrumanBetas.com Dr. Tigner is a professor and chair of the Psychology department at Truman and has served as Zeta Xi’s chapter counselor since 1996 and is one of our greatest assets. He graduated cum laude from Hanover College, where he was initiated into the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He received his doctorate from the Ohio State University in cognitive/experimental psychology. Beta awarded Dr. T its Advisor of the Year award at the 2005 General Convention, the highest award given to an advisor. He also won Advisor of the Year for both the 2008-2009 & 2009-2010 school years at Truman State University.
